Fast-rising musicians Ruger and BNXN have resumed their heated war of words on Twitter.
Their fight started in July after a fan claimed BNXN formerly called Buju was a better artiste than Ruger.
Ruger had boasted that the ‘Outside’ crooner “is not better than me”.
He wrote: “I love Buju he’s good but he’s not better than me. Everything I’ve done since the beginning was only Ruger. All my hits are just Ruger. I’m always proud going on stage around the world with my own hits and everyone is singing along. You see the difference?”
Spat on police officer idiomatic expression – BNXN
The debate on who is better resurfaced on Thursday after BNXN aimed a dig at the ‘Bounce’ singer while celebrating ‘Bad Since ’97‘, his latest extended play (EP).
In , BNXN shared a screenshot showing the EP is topping Apple Music’s Nigerian album chat.
He also accompanied with a note: “What if I what if I what if I coookkkk #BadSince97″. is a reference to Ruger’s hit song ‘Girlfriend’ which has the same line.
Responding to the tweet, Ruger replied: “Get a solo hit then talk to me fatty bum bum” — suggesting BNXN’s career success is due to his collaborations with other top artistes.
But BNXN fired back in series of posts taunting Ruger’s music career.
“Man had to body shame? hurt him deeeeep,” he wrote.
