No fewer than 18 political thugs have been arrested by men of Nigerian Police ahead of the Osun State governorship election billed for July 16th 2022.
The spokesperson of Nigeria police, Osun Command, Yemisi Opalola made this known in a statement over the weekend.
She said, “Consequence upon fast approaching of 2022 Osun State election, our men have embarked on raiding of black spots within the state to fish out criminal elements perpetrating crime in the state. 18 suspected criminals were arrested. They are currently undergoing interrogation.”

She advised members of the public to shun all forms of electoral malpractices and offences.
Opalola warned that the command is fully prepared to deal decisively with anyone caught in such an act. Also, she admonished the people of the state to give prompt and useful information that could assist the police to nip in the bud all kinds of crimes/electoral malpractices.
